Just in time for the political season, a revamped conservative Web site offers talk radio listeners new, interactive ways of expressing their opinions.
Extending the reach of talk radio into the viral realm of the Internet and blogosphere, the relaunched Townhall.com brings together conservative talk hosts and their audiences with the goal to promote grassroots political activism.
Tagged with the claim “Where Your Opinion Counts,” the Web site has a reported 1.4 million online visitors per month and now offers podcasts and opinion columns from radio hosts like Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Bill Bennett, Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt. Each talk radio host has a personal, customized page that aims to inform listeners, while providing Web-based “activism tools” that enables them to create their own blogs and e-newsletters.
